Day Thirty Word Counts

It's the last day today! Day Thirty and can you believe it's already the last day? Seems like just yesterday when we began this journey, but here it is, and now it's almost over. Keep writing, even if you are behind, you might get to your goal or you might fall short but the important thing is how much you can accomplish just this one day because after today it's all over until next year. See you at the finish line!

1732 for me today, to give a total of 61310 words for the month.

I am heading now to visit HQ, then on to meet up with Blackbook75 again. Only 5 more days left in the bay area and then back to reality.

This is one really long vacation! Around two weeks, yes?

Well done with the writing, and congratulations with your monthly total! Is your story finished (besides some editing), or do you have more to wrap up?

I think if I was doing anything with this story, it would be a complete rewrite. Gemstones started to come out as important towards the end. Artefacts started to have links between them. Of course, this all happened in the final few pages.

Vacation is longer than usual. I wanted to be here for NoWD and the end of NNWM. Turns out birding to be more something that I did, as NNWM activities were very low. Now, I could easily do with another week as people are trying to get me to visit various places and I have so little time now.

2,988 today for a total of 106,328! The story is finished, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

This year's NaNo marked two milestones for me: highest word count day ever (11,480) and highest cumulative word count ever (last year's was close at 105,328). Needless to say, I'm very proud of myself.

Congratulations to all of the other winners, and well done to everyone who gave it a go! :)

My end word count for November was 8019. Not great, but I figured out more plot holes, and I'm going to keep writing until it's done.
Next year I'll be writing something with more room to manouver so if the plot goes in a different direction, I'm not going to feel like I'm getting off track. More of a pantser than a planner. :)
